101 goals in 1001 days

Today marks another milestone in my life. The next steps are up to me to make them work, and a friend sagely advised that I should have some sort of anchor that I can focus on during this period of time. She is not wrong. It could be easy for me to drift if I don’t have goals to aim for, discipline to keep.

Clocks

This is where Day Zero Project comes in. I can’t remember how I came across this a while ago (maybe after I drew up my previous list of 50 goals in 5 years?), and it has always been at the back of my mind to revisit the idea. I finally did, and this new list of medium-term goals was born. I will not be tracking them on DZP website though; just here, on this website itself.

The end date of this challenge is an easy one to remember – it falls on my niece’s 4th birthday, and my youngest brother’s 32nd – 1 February 2016. And without further ado, here’s the list of what I hope to achieve in the coming 1,001 days. (It is a rather ambitious one, so wish me plenty of luck!)

Awesome list Lil. I don’t have a written list but I could see quite a lot of things I’d like to do. Not necessarily in 1001 days but some time in lifetime. Well depends what God has in store for me :)
Good luck. That’s easily 1001 blog posts on top of your normal ones :)

    • Lil says:

I sort of have a bucket list, but it’s never really written down. This one is helpful because it has a time limit, so I cannot just tell myself that I have more time to do them. I should just do it. Now. Whenever earliest possible. ;)

I won’t be blogging about all 101 of them, in particular certain items of more personal nature, but a majority of them will be tracked through blog posts.

Thanks, I’ll need all the encouragement possible!

  2. Chloé says:

Interesting and ambitious goals! I notice a number of items for which I could help / participate ;) and a number which I am also aiming for (though yeah, no written list!) My most important goal for now: take at least 2 consecutive weeks of hols this summer :) Should I aim for that to be internet-free or not? Hmmm…
    Anyway, good luck indeed!

    • Lil says:

Oh I am totally counting on you to help on some of them! ;)

Hurrah for the intention to take a good fortnight break – you deserve them and it’ll really get you a good rest if you don’t fill the break with too much social stuff :p

      Good luck to us!

  3. med says:

woooowwww….actually coming up with the 101 things on the list is already something heheheh

all the best with it lil and u do like to keep yourself pretty busy kekeke ;)

    • Lil says:

Hehehe, it did take some thinking, because I have other bucket list items that are not realistic for this timeline and therefore have omitted them. It is very ambitious, but hey, without setting some targets, what’s to push us forward?

  4. Anirudh says:

Wow, very nice. I might just borrow the list, with a few alterations. :)

And where did you get no. 20?! From me? I did mention it to you, didn’t I?

    • Lil says:

Hehehe, work away. And no, you have not mention that to me before. I heard about it ages ago while living in Dublin, and recently a friend talked about attending the classes, so it’s still fresh in my mind then when I wrote this post ;)
