Views from seat 6A
I got lucky with a seat by the window on our flight back to Paris from Treviso, flying over the Dolomites, the Alps, and various lakes. Shortly after taking off, I whipped out the camera which was already kitted with a 50mm fixed lens, and started shooting away. No superzooming needed for these gorgeous views!
Of course, I couldn’t tell where I was for most part of the journey, and I think at one point I spotted Lake Garda – the end where Riva del Garda is located – although, frankly, does it matter if I could or could not name places or lakes I saw?
I also particularly like the nearly heart-shaped lake, which I assumed would be somewhere along the Switzerland/Italy border? The view did change from dramatic mountainous to more mundane grids of farmland, but even geometrical parcels of lands with different shades of green and brown can be fun to look at. It took so little to keep me entertained ;)
As cloud cover became increasingly thick, I finally put away the camera and indulge in a spot of reading. Otherwise, you’ll be seeing a whole lot more photos as we traversed across France!
Absolutly superb views!
And the whole Italian getaway is dreamy…
/happy sigh
Italy is a great country for touring, and affordable too by comparison to most European country. You should plan an Italian getaway too ;)
That’s a lot of great photos already lil!!! and the view….WOW…the flight sort of paid for itself ;)
I love flight routes over interesting geographical features. Even over deserts could be fun to watch!
