The Big Read 2020
However many books I managed to read in 2019, the pace is going to see a slow down this year. Having just started a new and demanding position, I’ll be spending more time reading work-related documents instead of the fun stuff. Nevertheless, a couple of long distance travels are anticipated… A realistic/reasonable goal for the year is thus 20 in French (10-10 for BDs and non-BDs) and 30 in English.

31 December 2020 : So much for “I shall have plenty of time to read during the lockdowns” – that didn’t quite happen for me, at least not in terms of French reads. Library and bookshop closures meant I have limited opportunity to ask for recommendations, and having spent much time reading work documents, I tend to turn towards English for leisure reading materials as well. Oh well… does this count as me having reached my objective ?
