Goddag from Christiansborg Tower
Goddag! F and I have been fortunate enough to spend a long weekend in Copenhagen, and to see our friend J who was also a fantastic host, proudly showing off what the Danish capital has to offer. In no time, he got us oriented well and one of the first places that we visited was the Christiansborg Tower – free to visit, by the way – that stands high over a former royal palace but is today the seat of the Danish Parliament as well as the Office of the Primer Minister and the Supreme Court. Parts of the palace remains in use by the monarchy.
From here, we got our first glimpse of Copenhagen, although it’d be another couple of days before we became familiarised with the different neighbourhoods and sights that we came across. The clear sky gave us great visibility that we even spied the Øresund Bridge as well as Malmö in the distance – we had not realised just how close Sweden is to Denmark until now! More to come soon on our adventures in Copenhagen :)
Not much traffic on the roads eh? ;)
Not yet after office hour, hehehe. In any case, most people cycle in Copenhagen – if you look at the roads, the bike lanes are as large as car lanes!
I see…. awesome….we have bike lanes here…better than malaysia but not that big either hehehe
The Danes are big into their bikings!
