A Sunday in St Germain-en-Laye
With a blink of an eye, it has been three months since F and I moved into our current place, located on a small street, on the first floor, and with a vis-à-vis. We are settling in well, and while I continue to add little touches here and there to make it more home-y, we do miss our former bright and luminous fourth-floor open-view apartment near Montparnasse. For a want of some sense of (natural and green) space, we escaped to St Germain-en-Laye on Sunday afternoon.
We love the calm out here, and the endless horizon before our eyes. Paris seems so small and so far away, yet it is within reach after a short RER ride away. As spring awakens the land, splashes of colour brought much-needed cheering up after the unexpected cabin fever that we were experiencing earlier in the day. The long walk along the stone terrace and in the woods proved to be healing balm to our spirits. I had fun sending florets of dandelions with the wind too, but stopped short from making a crown of daisy chain. Afterall, I am no wood nymph… ;)
Oh that looks like a paradise! :)
Sarah, it is a really wonderful spot to get away from Paris! :)
Beautiful dandelions and tulips!!! the cows are having a good relaxing life there hehehe ;)
happy cows, creamier milk/tender beef? ;)
